"If you run, you are a runner. It doesn't matter how fast or how far. It doesn't matter if today is your first day or if you've been running for twenty years. There is no test to pass, no license to earn, no membership card to get. You just run." --John Bingham
I have been running short distances off and on since college. Last year I moved to Tulsa and ran the 5k in the Tulsa run, after that I got an email from Runner's world about their free marathon training program. I started running with them in December and have gotten hooked. I ran my first marathon last April, another one this October and have two more scheduled for the spring.
I have been running for a couple of years. I have always worked out, but running was not something I really had any interest. While I lived in Manhattan, KS I met a girl at my gym that encouraged me to start running a little at a time on a treadmill, then she encouraged me to enter a 2 mile St. Patrick's Day Race she was organizing. And, of course the rest is history. After the race I was hooked! I have now completed numerous 5ks, 2 15ks, 3 half marathons, a cold 25k, and 2 full marathons.
